Messaging Policy

Last updated: 3 September 2026

This page explains how Enterprise Global Services Limited uses voice calls, SMS and messaging applications, including WhatsApp, when contacting customers on behalf of our clients. It applies to every channel we operate.

Who we contact and why

We contact people who have placed an order with one of our clients, an online retailer. The purpose of the contact is limited to that order: confirming the order details and delivery address, arranging or rescheduling delivery, informing the customer that a parcel is waiting at a pick-up point, reminding of the amount payable on delivery, and answering questions about the order.

Consent

Our client, as the retailer that took the order, is responsible for collecting the customer's consent to be contacted and for naming the sender in that consent. We begin contact only where the client confirms in writing that a lawful basis exists. Marketing messages are sent only where separate marketing consent has been collected; without it we send order-related messages only.

Frequency

We send at most one message per order per day. A cycle stops as soon as the customer responds. There are at most two message attempts per delivery issue before we switch to a call or stop. We do not contact customers at night in their local time zone.

How to stop receiving messages

A customer can stop contact at any time by replying with the word STOP in the messaging channel, by telling our agent during a call, or by writing to info@egs-limited.com. The request is recorded immediately, applies to voice, SMS and messaging together, and is permanent unless the customer asks to be contacted again.

Automated conversations

Some calls are handled by an automated voice assistant. The customer is informed of this at the beginning of the conversation and may end it at any time or ask to be contacted by a person. Messaging is template based; free-form replies are answered by a person or by an assistant that discloses its nature.

What we never send

We do not send unsolicited advertising, we do not send messages to purchased or scraped contact lists, and we do not use messaging channels for any purpose beyond the order the customer placed with our client.

Data protection

Personal data used for messaging is processed on behalf of our clients under a written data processing agreement. See our Privacy Policy for details on retention, sharing and the rights available to customers.
